About thirty seconds per sign

Record a sign

Every clip you contribute makes a sign easier to recognize and teaches the translator a new word.

You can contribute without an account. Signing in lets you track your contributions, keep a streak, appear on the leaderboard — and raises the hourly upload limit, which matters if you record in batches.

Camera is off

Video is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded until you choose to submit.

Record a sign

Capture mode
  • Frame yourself from the waist up with both hands free.
  • Keep a plain background and even lighting on your hands.
  • Sign at a natural pace — start and end with hands at rest.

Signs that need clips most

Each sign trains best with about 20 clips from different people. Pick one of these to have the biggest impact.

Your video stays yours

Recording and landmark extraction run entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press submit.

Reviewed before it counts

A human reviewer checks each clip before it joins the dictionary, so mistakes and accidental recordings never make it in.

Released openly

Approved clips become part of an open dataset that researchers and other Deaf-serving organizations can build on.
