Using the site

signAR is free to use. Do not use it to upload material you do not have the right to share, to record other people without their knowledge, or to submit content unrelated to sign language.

Your recordings

You keep ownership of everything you record. By submitting, you grant permission to use the clip for training sign recognition models, to display it on the site, and to include it in openly licensed dataset releases. You can withdraw this for future use at any time by contacting us.

Accuracy

Recognition and translation output is generated by a model with a limited vocabulary and will be wrong sometimes. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, emergency or other consequential communication. It is a learning and lookup tool.

Moderation

We remove submissions that are mislabelled, unusable, or inappropriate, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly submit them.
